Real Wedding at Eagle Mountain Golf Club - Carey & Corbin
February in Arizona is not always considered to be peak wedding season. Carey and Corbin's stunning wedding at Eagle Mountain Golf Club view website in a new tab proved this trend wrong when they tied the knot on February 21st. From the bride, "We honestly fell in love with the view. We both love how beautiful Arizona is and we wanted to showcase that to our out of town guests."
There were so many thoughtful touches throughout the day. Carey and Corbin's love story began when they attended the same High School, "but their paths did not cross until Corbin was attending Arizona State University," said the bride. For their first date they went to the movies to see Batman, so of course all the groomsmen wore superhero socks, Corbin wearing Batman.
Wendell Design Floral Group did the ceremony decor including hanging crystals from the large Mesquite Trees overlooking the East Valley. On the day of their wedding it was easy to see that family is very important to Carey and Corbin. "Carey's grandfather had passed in March 2014. We decided to honor his memory by having a place setting from him at Carey's family's table," said the groom. She also carried a locket with his picture on her bouquet and her garter was made by Carey's mom from her own wedding dress. Corbin's grandfather officiated the wedding and the couple's English bulldog, Churchill, was the ring bearer.
Carey's High School friend Becky with Passage Studios did the photography. She was a dream to work with, both from the client and the venue side. She did an amazing job capturing the warmth of the sunlight for sunset pictures and wasn't afraid to literally lay on the ground to get the right angle for a shot.
From the bride, "Our reception was very romantic and full of love...Instead of having a traditional wedding cake, we had an assortment of cupcakes (which were delicious). Also for dessert Gina [from Eagle Mountain Golf Club] view site in a new tab helped provide a make your own s'mores bar, which had an assortment of different marshmallows and chocolates for guests to choose from."
Carey's advice to future brides selecting their venue, "Actually go and visit the places. Pictures can be taken strategically, however the venue can't hide [faults] if you go to the actual places. But take your time and don't get discouraged if the first few places aren't your style. Also, you need to like your event coordinator at the location, because they will be helping you out through the day of, you need to trust them."
Carey and Corbin, thank you so much for letting us be a part of your special day!
